Perm Opera House closes its 141st season
City department of culture and youth policy stated that Perm Opera and Ballet House closes its 141st season. The season closes with a premier of Georg Philipp Telemann comic opera “Pimpinon, or Unequal Match”. Theatre year will be closed on June 30 with a traditional gala-show.
“Several important events happened this season. Recording and performing Mozart’s operas is one of them. In a short time compact disks with these recordings would be available to music lovers in Europe. Receiving four Golden Masks was also a significant event for the theatre, and the only precedent for the regional theatre in Russia. And, I think, the culmination point of the season was the Diaghilev Festival – one of the most important events in Russian cultural life”, - said the art-manager of Perm Opera and Ballet House, Teodor Currentzis.
Gala-show with opera, ballet and orchestra artists will take place on June 30 at 7 p.m. Big Symphonic Orchestra, Perm theatre Choir, MisicAeterna orchestra artists and opera and ballet artist will take part in the show.
